Course Cancellation Policy Reminder:
  • If a student notifies us at least 72 hours prior to the start of their course, the student may cancel for a full refund or reschedule to an alternate available course date with no rescheduling fee.
  • If a student notifies us between 24 and 72 hours prior to the start of their course, no refund will be issued, but the student may reschedule to an alternate available course date by paying a $15 rescheduling fee.
  • If a student notifies us less than 24 hours prior to the start of their course, or fails to attend their course, no refund will be issued, and the student may not reschedule to an alternate available course date without paying the full registration fee again.

Course Information

Everyday Carry (EDC) is approximately an 8-hour course of instruction occurring entirely on the range. This course takes the knowledge gained from a CCW Permit course (“WHEN to use your handgun to save your own life”) and places a heavy emphasis on Defensive Shooting (“HOW to use your handgun to save your own life”).

Must be lawfully allowed to train with firearms in the U.S.

NOTES:

Must be lawfully allowed to train with firearms. MUST have a weapon mounted flashlight, a handheld flashlight, and red lens headlamp.

      • When all efforts to AVOID conflict are exhausted / then what?
      • What to do AFTER you win the gunfight / Have that planned
      • Safety and Safe Gun Handling / Hot Range Rules
      • Drawing from the Holster / Drawing from Concealment
      • Fundamentals of Marksmanship revisited/slow fire for accuracy
      • Intro Defensive Shooting
      • Multiple Target Engagements
      • After Action Drills
      • Loading, Reloading / Tactical and Emergency Reloads
      • Shooting while Moving
      • Use of Cover / Concealment
      • One-Hand / Off-Hand shooting
      • CQB / Close Quarters Battle Drills / Shooting from Close Contact
      • Intro Malfunction Clearance drills

Required Gear:

***Weapon mounted flashlight, handheld flashlight, AND a red lens headlamp***
Eye / Hearing Protection (Electronic Hearing Protection strongly preferred)
Appropriate Concealed Carry Handgun of .380 ACP or greater caliber (No single action “cowboy” guns)
Concealed carry holster (Purses, Cross-Draw, and Small-of-Back rigs ARE permissible)
No soft/collapsible holsters.
Spare Magazines (at least three Magazines total) or Speed Loaders for revolvers
Spare Magazine pouch / speed loader pouch
Minimum of 300 rounds of target ammunition
Water / snacks / bag lunch for full training day
Sunscreen and weather appropriate attire for outdoor private ran

Rental Guns and Gear available upon coordinated request.

Our Instructors

A US Army Airborne Infantryman, and Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran, Ben also completed US Army Sniper school, Combat Lifesaver course, and has numerous hours working and training other service members on the live fire range. Ben is an avid hunter and sportsman.

-NRA Certifications: Refuse to be A Victim Instructor, Range Safety Officer, Pistol Instructor, Rifle Instructor, Inside and Outside the Home Personal Protection Instructor
-Arizona DPS Unarmed and Armed Security Guard Instructor
-Arizona Game and Fish Hunter Education Instructor
-Sabre OC Spray Instructor
-ASP Baton, Handcuffing, and Flashlight Tactics Instructor
-CPR Certified

Former US Marine, Roan Grimm has dedicated his life to the study of the grim realities of violent close combat.  With 35+ years of martial arts, the past 27 of which have been focused on the weapon intensive Filipino martial arts (arnis/eskrima/kali) and WWII era American combatives (scientific dirty fighting). With over 125 real contact stick fights with the world renown Dog Brothers, Grimm has tested the theories of actual fighting with impact weapons at a level few can approach.
