Course Information

Our lifesaver training courses cover everything from controlling massive bleeding to tactical combat casualty care. Whether civilian, law enforcement, or military, your skills will be refined and tested during each level of training. NOTES:

Our medical courses DO NOT certify any level of state required training such as CPR or EMT. Training is for extra curricular knowledge and experience only. 

What this course covers

  • Tools of the trade, setting up an IFAK
  • Assessing a casualty
  • Non-invasive treatment techniques
  • TCCC, Tactical Combat Casualty Care
  • Good Samaritan Law in Arizona (How to avoid Gross Negligence liability)
  • Contact with Law enforcement
  • Communication with 911 operators
  • Case-vac or Med-vac assessments
  • What has changed? The history of first response
  • Wound packing and tourniquet application hands on application

Required Gear

  • Note taking material for the classroom portion
  • Please bring any medical equipment or first aid kit you may already have for inspection

Our Instructors

A US Army 1st Infantry Division medic, JD served in Operation New Dawn in Iraq (2010-2011) a Medic. After his active duty service, he contracted as a civilian worldwide and continued to provide operational medical support across the Middle East and Africa. In addition, he served with Arizona’s own 1/158th National Guard unit. He taught over 200 Combat Life Saver (CLS) Courses during his time in service and has firsthand experience in combat trauma.

A US Army 82nd Airborne Reconnaissance Infantryman, and Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran (2008-2009), I also spend as much time as possible outside hunting and fishing. Having countless hours training with multiple weapon platforms from crew served weapons to pistols, and having trained military, law enforcement, and civilians. I organized Diamondback Training Center’s teaching methodology following Murphy’s law, and taking equal portions of military, law enforcement, and civilian training environments to give our students the best experience possible.
