Course Information

The Combative Carbine and/or Handgun Night Shoot LVL3 is a custom Level III firearms training course. Highly dynamic and physically demanding, this course requires non-negotiable, top-tier Safe Gun Handling skills. This class includes advanced drills including Vehicle Ops, CQC Drills, Team Drills, and Low-Light/No-Light Ops.





Must be lawfully allowed to train with firearms.

  • Fundamentals revisited (handgun and carbine)
  • Several Fast-n-Slow drills
  • Timed Malfunction Clearance drills
  • Timed Reload drills
  • Shooting While Moving
  • Multiple Targets/Various Distance Engagements
  • Ground Fighting
  • Vehicle Ops
  • CQC Drills
  • Team Drills
  • Low-Light/No-Light ops.

Required gear:

Semi-auto Handgun with at least 4 magazines
Semi-auto Carbine (AR, AK) with at least 4 mags
Sturdy strong-side holster
At least two magazine pouches for pistol and carbine
A minimum of 800 target ammunition for carbine, and minimum of 300 target ammunition for handgun
Rifle Sling
Flashlight(s) – handheld AND weapon-mounted flashlight. (Red lens Head lamp strongly suggested)
This training course involves running, squatting, kneeling and firing from unorthodox firing positions. Bring your fitness with you.

Rental Guns and Gear available upon coordinated request.

Our Instructors

A US Army Airborne Infantryman, and Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran, Ben also completed US Army Sniper school, Combat Lifesaver course, and has numerous hours working and training other service members on the live fire range. Ben is an avid hunter and sportsman.

Former US Marine, Roan Grimm has dedicated his life to the study of the grim realities of violent close combat.  With 35+ years of martial arts, the past 27 of which have been focused on the weapon intensive Filipino martial arts (arnis/eskrima/kali) and WWII era American combatives (scientific dirty fighting). With over 125 real contact stick fights with the world renown Dog Brothers, Grimm has tested the theories of actual fighting with impact weapons at a level few can approach.
